Sellaronda webcams

The Sellaronda is known as one of the ultimate challenges for winter sports enthusiasts who travel to South Tyrol in the Dolomites to ski. One of the unique attractions of the Sellaronda is that you can start your journey from any of the four valleys that encircle the Sella Massif. And thanks to various webcams, you can even get a preview of the Sellaronda ski area from afar.

Skiers from Val Gardena holiday resorts, such as Ortisei, S. Cristina or Selva Gardena, cross paths with guests arriving from Colfosco, Corvara or Alta Badia in Val Badia. Skiers from Livinallongo del Col di Lana join the Sellaronda at Arabba, while those who have booked accommodation in a hotel or holiday flat in Canazei, Campitello, Vigo di Fassa, Moena or Pozza di Fassa join them from Val di Fassa.

Numerous webcams installed across all four Dolomite valleys provide a comprehensive view of the Sellaronda and its surrounding ski regions. We recommend checking out the following webcams for a great overview:

Sellaronda weather

Over 300 days of sunshine per year

When you think of the weather on the Sellaronda in winter, you might visualise wonderful, snow-covered ski slopes, rugged mountain peaks towering into the bright blue sky and glorious sunshine. The weather is characterised by regular snowfalls, which don't melt away very quickly due to the low temperatures on the Sellaronda and ensure that a long winter sports season is possible in the Sellaronda ski area.

Nevertheless, when skiing the Sellaronda, you have to be prepared for the fact that there may be considerable temperature fluctuations and therefore a wide variety of weather conditions during the 23-kilometre ski circuit due to rapid weather changes and the large differences in altitude. Added to this are the almost 15 kilometres that have to be covered during the circuit in all weathers with the help of lifts.

Checking up-to-date weather data from the various weather stations around the Sellaronda will provide current information on temperatures, humidity, and wind speeds. Before embarking on the Sellaronda, it is also essential to get an overview of the weather forecast for South Tyrol, check snow reports or forecasts, and stay informed about avalanche warnings.
